The combat brigade troops against ELIF forest fires at the Villardeciervos base (Zamora) have managed to save a roe deer from the fire in the Losacio (Zamora) forest fire.
This has been indicated by the Junta de Castilla y León this Thursday through the Twitter account @NaturalezaCyL, in which they have shared this curious and positive information in the context of a fire that, according to the first official estimates, could have burned between 30,000 and 36,000 hectares of land.
The Board recalls that the forest fires also affect the animals from the fire area and sadly some do not survive.
The Roe deer rescued seems to have had better luck and the brigadistas have given him water and have applied a wet garment to lower its temperature.
The Losacio forest fire, declared last Sunday, July 17, is already “stabilized” although not controlled, so it remains active and at level 2 of danger.
